Who is Kalonzo Musyoka?
Kalonzo Musyoka is a veteran Kenyan politician, born on 24 December 1953.
In the Kenyan corridors of power, Musyoka is remembered as the country’s tenth Vice-President, a position he held between 2008 and 2013 under the retired president Mwai Kibaki.
He also served as Minister for Foreign Affairs under the Daniel Arap Moi regime from 1993 to 1998.
Prior to being appointed as the second man in the state command, Stephen held a cabinet position of Minister for Foreign Affairs in the first term of President Mwai Kibaki from 2003 to 2004.
Successively, Kibaki appointed him the Minister for Environment from 2004 to 2005.
In the country’s 2007 presidential election, Kalonzo unsuccessfully vied for the presidency. Today, he is the leader of one of the prominent political parties in Kenya called the Wiper Democratic Movement.
He is also the current Chief Commissioner of The Kenya Scouts Association.
